When Ralph Jones founded Medina Glass in 1963, automotive glass technology was much simpler. We are now in the era of smart glass. Some autos display your speed, the road's speed limit, and GPS directions in the windshield. GM has filed for a patent on auto-dimming windshields. Today is International Women's Day. We would like to recognize our president, Kathy Long. We would post a photo of her, but she prefers to work behind the scenes and away from the limelight. The Medina VFW Post 5137 and Auxiliary will serve free Thanksgiving Day meals from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday. If you are a shut-in and need your meal delivered to you, you need to call the post *before* Thanksgiving at (330) 725-0884. Also, the VFW could use some volunteers to help with preparing the food. Meal prep begins at 9 a.m. Thursday.
The 38th annual Medina Candlelight Walk, organized by Main Street Medina begins today with the Tree and Community Light Up. Saturday features the Parade of Lights, Santa's Arrival, and Fireworks. Events wrap up Sunday with the Hometown Holidays Kickoff Celebration. Here is the full schedule:
